--Celeste B. Janey
Fabrics and fibers have always been a part of my life. They are the medium in which I express my creativity.
As an elementary school educator for 34 years, I find that in my pieces, I need to continue teaching. All my pieces teach, whether through the written word, or orally through the story in which the piece was inspired. Continuing the African-American culture of which I was born, my pieces are usually vibrant in color and life. All my pieces share a story with the observer.
